Dentists are not just concerned about the health of teeth. Gum health is also crucial for a bright smile and for overall oral health. The two most common forms of gum disease include:

 

1) Gingivitis. In this disease, the gums became inflamed, although there is no bone loss.

 

2) Periodontitis, or Pyorrhea. In this disease, inflammation of the gums is not treated, leading to loss of bone around teeth.
